Artist

Wingyee Tsui is a Hong Kong-based female artist whose practice explores the perception and imagery of the body, identity, vulnerability, and human connections. Her works take form in installation, video art, and abstract painting, frequently blurring the lines between imagination and reality. Tsui's creative practice is her embodiment of various alter-egos, allowing her to reimagine the body as a site of transformation and tension. Through these transformations, she examines the struggles of the inner self and the resistance against societal norms and expectations. Her work invites viewers to confront the fragility and resilience of the body, while challenging traditional notions of selfhood and conformity.
