Tomatoes, wires
An installation that conveys the complex dynamics of love and hate within a relationship. In any kind of relationships, the pressures and expectations that often accompany love.
Wire wraps tightly around the tomatoes conveys a sense of suffocation and tension, hinting at the darker undercurrents of possessiveness and control that can arise in passionate relationships. The subtle signs of stress on the
tomatoes-tiny fissures forming in the skin of the tomato suggesting that the pressure is nearing a breaking point.
As the wire is getting tighter and tighter, the tomatoes finally burst; it's not because of the wire, it's only because of the pressure by the other tomato. Through this visceral representation, the artwork shows the beauty and fragility of our most profound bonds, the fine line between affection and animosity.
